A range of young people worked on this project. You can find out a little bit more about each of them below.
My name is Natasha and I am 17, I go to college as well as working weekends as a waitress. When I have any spare time I'm usually spending it with my friends or family, as well as doing as much fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis as I can along the way - most recently a skydive!
This is one of the reasons I wanted to take part in the project, to raise awareness and help to create a realistic, true to life look about CF as well as a positive resource that looks at the future of gene therapy and what this could mean for people like me.
I also do sciences as part of my A level studies, so it was important for me to understand more about the science behind gene therapy and hopefully help to break it down into something more understandable for people my age who want to find out more.
Hi I'm Caitlin and I'm 15. I live a relatively normal life around my treatments for Cystic Fibrosis and I rarely let them get in my way. In my spare time I like to sleep ... or go out with family and friends. I also love sports and music.
I took part in this project to help young people to understand more about gene therapy, CF and what it is like to live with. I also hope it will raise awareness about CF and what gene therapy can achieve.
I have taken part in many fundraising events, including dressing up as frogs and running around Tesco with collection boxes. I promise it looked amazing :P x
Hello my name is Hannah I am 15 years old. I took this project because I want people to understand about Cystic Fibrosis, about how it is like to cope with it and how hard it is to even get to school or college or your job like in the morning you have to get your tablets and medicines and do Physio have your breakfast and get changed ... really sometimes it can feel that you have already done a full day just in the morning. Also I want people to understand about gene therapy and the concept of how it can help.
In my spare time I like playing out with friends or family, doing art, going on my laptop, playing the piano, creating my own animations, making fashion clothes on the sewing machine, and cooking with my dad. I also love watching Doctor Who!
I I live a normal life just like everyone else with treatment when I need it.
